Tunstall Healthcare (UK) Ltd and PegasusLife are hosting a Knowledge and Innovation Session at the Housing LIN Extra Care conference on the 24th March that will reveal how digital solutions and inspired architecture can support wellbeing, freedom and happiness in later life.

Kevin Alderson, UK Sales & Marketing Director at Tunstall, and John Nordon, Design Director at PegasusLife, will give examples of how design and technology can be blended to create great quality, aspirational housing that realises the potential of the latest solutions and creates a gateway to the future. The session will convey vital information about how providers can harness the power of digital connectivity to underpin the delivery of cost effective and coordinated healthcare in the community. It will also include new announcements about Tunstall’s Connected Healthcare solutions, which open up a new world of possibilities for the provision of care in the home.

The delivery of digital and mobile technology represents a huge opportunity to improve quality of life, making it easier for formal and informal carers to provide the right level of care. It also dramatically increases the choices available to enable people to remain active and thrive in their own homes as they age.

Tunstall’s digital Connected Healthcare eco system uses cloud-based software to support a new generation of solutions that can provide intelligent, unobtrusive and person-centred care and help to manage demand using innovative service models. Digital Connected Healthcare will link together the service users, the devices that support them, service providers, formal and informal carers, social care, health and housing providers. This will lead to significant enhancements in the quality of care and support provided.

With BT announcing that by 2025 the move from analogue to IP Voice telephone services will be complete, the UK’s move to digital is inevitable and imminent. A recent survey by the Housing LIN identified that over 50% of retirement home providers are actively planning to move from analogue to digital systems.
