Tunstall Healthcare Group, a world leader in connected healthcare, has acquired the assets of Lifeline Emergency Response Systems of Irvine, California via its US subsidiary, Tunstall Americas. The acquisition expands Tunstall’s leadership role in consolidating the fragmented medical alert market by acquiring and partnering with highly regarded regional providers of connected healthcare monitoring services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. This acquisition represents Tunstall Americas’ twelfth competitive service conversion since late 2014.

Hft is a national charity, providing services for people with learning disabilities throughout England. Established in the 1960s, Hft works in partnership with the people it supports, their families and health professionals to develop effective, person-centred services. Its services include supported living, residential care and short breaks, and Hft helps the people it supports to make their own choices, such as by helping them to find jobs, build friendships, and take part in activities.

Tunstall Healthcare has been working in partnership with Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Community Services, Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Tameside Metropolitan Council (TMBC) to enhance care provision for patients with long-term conditions and help the Trust make more efficient use of healthcare resources.
