Long Island City, NY (July 7, 2015) – Tunstall Healthcare Group, the world leader in Connected Healthcare monitoring, has acquired New York based medical alarm company Healthcare Monitoring Systems, Inc., via its US subsidiary, Tunstall Americas. The acquisition expands Tunstall’s growing customer base across the United States through acquiring and partnering with highly regarded regional providers of connected healthcare monitoring services.
Tunstall Healthcare Group, the world leader in remote care and safety monitoring, and Apria Healthcare, a leading US provider of home respiratory and other therapies, have entered into an expanded agreement to make Tunstall Personal Emergency Response Systems available to help improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

That vision is now being realized with our expanded relationship. Under the expanded relationship, Apria will make Tunstall products available to the general public under the Apria Medical Alert brand, which can be found on Apria.com. Tunstall will help support order intake, and fulfillment to facilitate ease of access to medical alert monitoring products and 24/7 personal, high-touch patient response services. In addition, Tunstall will design custom branded products and materials for Apria, powered by Tunstall Americas.
Tunstall Americas provides nationwide 24/7 healthcare monitoring services from HIPAA compliant call centers in New York and Rhode Island. Tunstall also manufacturers a wide variety of FDA registered medical alert, telehealth, and medication management solutions to meet the needs of all people, including traditional telephone based systems, cellular systems, and mobile safety devices.

Hull City Council’s Telecare Team was established to improve the safety and health of Hull’s residents, particularly those who are older, have dementia, are carers or who have been recently discharged from hospital. A wide range of telecare solutions are available, including medication dispensers. The dispenser can be filled by a family member or pharmacist and will emit an audible beep when it’s time for the user to take their medicine. If the dispenser doesn’t sense that tablets have been removed it can be programmed to raise an alert on a family member’s mobile, or in some cases call the Kingston Care control centre.
